Open July 6 – August 18 at Mini Mart City Park, “Trash Talking” is an art show displaying 100 new hand-made sculptures by the toy sculptor from Seattle, Mike Leavitt. Installed in a gas station mini mart setting, the local artist’s new work uses recyclables relevant to current political events to re-imagine the American corner store.
All are welcome to a free public reception party Saturday July 13 2 – 8pm with free drinks, junk food, trivia games to play for free prizes, and art stocked to buy and take home off the shelf.
Admission is free to enter during gallery hours Thursday to Saturday, 12 – 5pm, July 6 to August 18, 2024. There is also no cost to attend the July 13, 2024 reception party. All art will be available to purchase at the gallery show and online shop. It’s recommended to arrive early July 13 in advance of a large expected crowd for this event with limited gallery hours.
