      CALL FOR ARTISTS
      2017 Lynnwood City Hall Art Gallery Exhibitions

      Deadline: September 30, 2016

      We invite visual artists of ALL AGES who reside in Washington State to apply. Exhibits are held at beautiful City Hall Art Gallery. Artists are juried by the Lynnwood Arts Commission and will be announced by the end of October. (Youth artists can also apply to exhibit at the Lynnwood Rec Center. See http://www.LynnwoodArts.org).

      APPLICATION: By applying to be in this exhibit, you agree to the terms and conditions stated in this form.
      Email the following (or mail equivalent):
      1. Completed Information form to: [email protected]
      2. Attach up to 10 JPEG files of artwork. Also 1 photo of yourself. At least 1200×1500 pixels at 300dpi for use in publicity.
      3. Email is preferred. If unable to email, mail the application including the completed information form with CD containing up to 10 JPEG images (min 1200×1500 pixels). Please note that CD will not be returned to you.

      LENGTH OF EXHIBITS: Approximately 2 months, during a specified period in 2017. All artwork displayed must remain installed for the specified duration of the exhibit.

      SIZE RESTRICTIONS: 2-D work from 12″x12″ to 48″x48″ properly wired for hanging. Very limited space for 3-D work under 12”x12”x12”.

      GALLERY: Located inside Lynnwood City Hall at 19100 44th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036. The total space is 32 linear feet accommodating 10-15 pieces of medium sized art, & one covered pedestal (17x17x17). We encourage artists to visit and preview the space. Hours: M-F 8:30am – 5pm. Evening hours: Most Mondays & 3rd Wednesdays, 6:30-9pm.

      SUBJECT MATTER: This is a public space visited by people of many cultures, nationalities, and ages. We reserve the right to not exhibit work that we deem unsuitable for the public space (for example, works that contain nudity, or inappropriate language).

      DELIVERY & PICK-UP: Artwork must be hand-delivered and picked-up on the day and time scheduled. There is no storage for packing materials. Most installations are on Friday mornings.

      ART SALES: Contact information of interested buyers will be provided directly to artists to complete purchase transactions. No sales commission is charged.

      We reserve the right to invite artists who do not apply and to NOT select an artist through this application process.

      LIABILITY: Please be advised that every reasonable precaution will be taken during the receiving, installation, exhibition and return of your artwork but the City of Lynnwood, their officials, officers, employees or volunteers do not assume responsibility for loss or damage that might be incurred during this process. All work needs to be of substantial enough nature to withstand these procedures. We encourage each artist to carry their own insurance.
