Class Description:
Sterling silver is artist and instructor Mēgan Corwin’s favorite metal to chase and Repoussé with. It lends itself to crisp edges and dramatic textures yet is soft enough to create voluptuous forms. One of the major differences between sterling and pure metals such as copper and gold, is that it firescales. Among other things, Mēgan will share her tips and tricks on how to keep the metal firescale free while working it in pitch. Mēgan is excited to share her joy and understanding of this sometime finicky material in this new class designed for intermediate/advanced students.
