      Beginning Botanical Drawing
You get to know plants from an artist’s perspective through exploring botanical subjects in graphite and color pencil. Individual attention helps you develop your skills in observation, drawing and composition to depict a variety of plants, and a field trip to Li’l Sprout Nursery in Mill Creek offers an opportunity to visit and sketch spring botanicals in a relaxed environment. In the final class, you show off your work and celebrate your accomplishments! Some drawing experience is helpful but not required. Six classes for adults meet Sundays, 10am – noon, March 26 – May 7, 2017 (no class Easter Sunday, April 16) $195.00

Washington illustrator and fine artist Susan Jones’ art has been featured in local and national juried exhibitions, and numerous publications. Susan holds a Certificate in Natural Science Illustration from the University of Washington, and is honored to have taught in the in program for seven years. She is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, Northwest Chapter.
