In this workshop, taught by Zoey Frank, we will use still life to explore composition. We will consider the geometry of the arrangement, viewpoint, color, value relationships and balance in a series of small painted studies, working toward a composition that is constructed as a whole unit. Focus will be places on satisfying and accurate drawing, value and color relationships. The workshop will be taught through lecture, demonstration and critique.
