Art shows typically hang for one month. Opening receptions take place during Art Walk, the first Friday of the month from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The gallery is comprised of an entry room and a larger main gallery, totaling approximately 105 linear feet of wall space.Make.Shift Gallery reserves the right to exclude any work that does not meet our stated hanging requirements. We may be able to make display accommodations on a case-by-case basis. If your work needs to be displayed in a manner that does not meet our requirements, please provide details in your application.
We prioritize works created by local, emerging, and marginalized artists. We are primarily looking for art that is fresh, innovative, and critically engaged. Shows will be considered based on availability of dates and quality of work. 2020 submissions will be reviewed by a jury of local artists, and Make.Shift staff, volunteers, tenants, and supporters.
