This course is an introduction to the basic language of color presented through the Munsell System. If you have ever had trouble with color in your paintings this class is for you!
Through a series of color exercises and simple still life subjects we will learn how to see, mix and control color in our paintings. The Munsell System uses the three basic properties of Hue, Value and Chroma to describe any color that can be used in artist’s pigments. It solves the confusion and frustration many painters have with this critical aspect of their work. The system utilizes the most current science of color perception and makes painting in color logical and highly efficient.
This three-day class, held March 21-23, 2020, will be taught by Kathleen Speranza. It is open to all levels. The cost is $500.
