This 8 week series, that starts on November 6th and goes until January 8th, 3 hours each day, from 10am to 1pm. The class  emphasizes design and color, but wePoster with artwork images cover all aspects of creating a painting, but design and color are two of the most important elements of painting. We want students to create their vision and encourage them to apply the principle and elements of design to their work…if they do, their work simply becomes better. We mostly work from photos and use them for reference and inspiration..not to copy, but to interpret in their unique style and apply the principles and elements of design, and if they do their paintings become better. We work on getting our ideas and design down with value studies and color studies…to get something down to see what is working and what is not.

I usually give demos every two weeks, we give homework for those that are able to, and we critique the homework each week. We often have exercises in class and talk a lot about creating a “work of art”. Each class is recorded, so if you miss a class you can see it for a week. We look at other artist’s work to also learn and get inspiration.

Classes are every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. There are 8, three hour classes in each series and the cost is a modest $365. We limit each class to 12 students, so each student gets a lot of attention. Students tell us they get a lot out of our classes and we work hard to keep that reputation.

Classes use Zoom and Slack to present each class and more information on using them..will be presented a few days before the first class. Here is the link for more information and to sign up for a class: Wednesday Morning Online Classes

Each series usually fills up fairly fast, and we do have a wait list, as each 8 week series starts within a week or two of the end of the last series.
