This workshop, taught by Johanne Mangi, is about breaking down the barriers that prevent you from painting loosely, and capturing aliveness. This is more than about likeness. It’s the essence of the dog we’re after. How to see and interpret what you see. Actually painting more than what you see.
We will have the opportunity to paint dogs from life informing our discoveries. There will be crazy fun exercises to reshape your approach to this genre. We will be focusing on painting dogs but this will apply to all animals and all things! Experimenting with limited palettes as well as full color.
Bring along any projects you’re working on. We’ll make them sing!
The cost for this four-day workshop, held July 27-30, 2020, is $595. Intermediate and advanced students welcome. Sign up at: https://www.whidbeyislandfas.com/johanne-mangi
