There is an intrinsic magic associated with the indigo vat and the unknown patterns and shades of blue on which we will focus during this 3-day intensive course. One needs only to be a willing, hands-on participant to be able to walk away with a notebook full of techniques and a head full of possibilities!
Day One covers the basics of folding & clamping, bound resist, setting up the indigo vat, and some stitch techniques.
Day Two reviews and then moves onto bound resists with objects, pole wrapping (arashi shibori), and bundling.
Day Three begins with a group discussion on project successes and then formulates the focus for the rest of the day
