Discover the fun and creative possibilities of this popular craft while we learn the basics and create a miniature tapestry.

No weaving experience required! Only very simple tools are used. All the steps in the process will be demonstrated, and basic terminology will be explained. Students will wind a warp on a small wooden panel and then learn several ways to weave in different colored yarns. Several different embellishment techniques will also be shown.

Students will learn:
The fundamentals of tapestry weaving, and some embellishment techniques such as adding fringe.

Students will make:
A 4 inch by 4 inch tapestry.
