Music is essential to my life. Although I am a painter, I would give up painting and sculpture before music was taken from me. So I use my creative time to throw on a record, disconnect and let the music empower my art. I listen to the music of who I am painting, which sets the tone for backgrounds as I focus on a lyric, song or album of the subject. Which is why you’ll find mostly rock & roll in my work!
